Trump is trying to block the transition to the new president.  His Secretary of State, Pompeo has told everyone that Trump will still be the President next year.  By now the Government departments should be working with the new President so that everything works smoothly on January 20^th when the power is handed over.  Trump is refusing to let the Government departments work with Joe Biden.  Biden says this is embarrassing for Trump.
UK Government is planning to ban all adverts for junk food.  This is to stop the big crisis of obesity.  People who are overweight are more likely to be badly affected by Covid.  The majority of elderly people in the UK are overweight.  Health experts are pleased with the plan but there has to be 6 weeks to allow people to give their views.
Pfizer and BionTech are the 2 companies that have claimed the first successful vaccine against Covid.  Governments like the UK are planning to buy million doses of the vaccine.  This will create big profits.  Other companies who are working on a vaccine have said they will provide their vaccine at the cost (no profit), Pfizer is using it to make a profit of nearly £10billion next year.  It looks like they will charge 19 dollars for each dose.  The other companies have said they would charge only 5 dollars.  Oxfam is upset as they say poor countries cannot afford this.
