Tuesday, all EU Members passed the Brexit deal 

The Brexit trade deal has been confirmed.  But the President of the Commission warned UK – they must stick to the agreement.  Or EU will sue the UK in court.
The Post Office may go bust – a new court case
This is very serious because the taxpayer will have to pay the cost.  Last week postmasters won their case – the software was faulty.  The Post Office will have to pay out millions of pounds.  Now a new case.  Just like Uber drivers, the postmasters say they are employed by the Post Office – not freelance.   The Post Office may have to pay more millions of pounds.
Good news on Covid deaths in England – gone down 97%
In January we had nearly 9,000 deaths a week.   In April, only 266 deaths.  For people, aged 70 to 74, the numbers have gone down 99%.  Nearly all people in that age group have the vaccine.
President Biden explains his Jobs Plan and Families Plan Last Wednesday, he gives a speech to Congress.  He explains his changes for the USA.  He wants a Families Plan, cost $1.8 trillion – free pre-school for children (3-4 years old), and free study at community college.  There is $300 per child each month for poorer families.  The $2.3 trillion Jobs Plan, is for transport (rail, airports, roads, bridges), water, broadband, veterans’ hospitals, childcare centres and fix racial problems… and electric cars and clean energy.  To pay the bill?  He plans to increase taxes for people and companies who earn over $1 million a year.
