Brexit bad news.  Official figures from Germany report that the goods sent from UK to Germany slumped by more than half in January.  That fits with what the lorry drivers and the companies have been saying.  UK Government has been saying everything is OK.  It is not.  Goods from Germany to the UK are also much less by 29%.  The impact is only on UK – German trade with other countries is only down a small amount.  UK Government says these are teething problems.  The companies say no – it is a long-term impact because of Brexit.
Covid Snapshots:  Holidays in Greece?  Greek Government says people who have had the vaccine or even a negative test, can go to Greece for holidays from the middle of May.  Another report says the Olympic Games in Japan will go ahead but there will be no spectators.  In the USA, 93 million doses of vaccine have been given.  That does not include any Astra Zeneca vaccine.  In Turkey, they opened cafes, restaurants and schools.  Now they have record numbers of covid cases.  Forget about Vitamin D.  Some  places say if you take extra vitamin D you will not get the virus.  Research says it is not true.
So what is “carboniferous chondrite?”  A family in Winchcombe in Gloucestershire did not know either until scientists were jumping for joy.  It was part of the meteorite which landed on earth last Sunday.  It is very special.  It is like dark stone and it is 4.6 million years old.  Scientists say it contains information from the very beginning of our planets.  And it landed in the family’s drive, just outside their house.  They heard the thud but it was too dark to see.  Next morning they sent a picture in.  Scientists were so happy.
