There are serious warnings in the USA from health experts.  They say that there have been improvements in the Covid situation.  But this progress will be lost if people start to break the rules.  They say that there are new versions of Covid and it could mean that the vaccines do not work.  Like in the UK, the warning is clear.  Do not give up on masks and social distance … or else we will have more deaths and lockdowns.
In Myanmar the problems continue.  On Monday, the leader Aung San Suu Kyi was in court by video link.  The army made up new charges.  The charges were that she used illegal telecommunications equipment and she caused fear and alarm.  She is not allowed to talk to lawyers.  The army kept her at her home but now she has moved somewhere – no one knows where.  Most countries in the world are angry but China and Russia refuse to join the criticism.  The people continue to protest in the streets.
Wow!  The UK Fireball Alliance (yes, really) were tracking a meteorite which hit the UK on Sunday night.  The bright flashing trail was on camera as it came towards the earth.  There was a sonic boom.  In the last few kilometres it went dark and probably broke up.  They say it came to ground near Cheltenham – maybe out towards Stow-on-the Wold.  If you find it, don’t touch it!  Take a photo and try to put it in a bag.  Don’t put a magnet near it as this will destroy information about where it has come from.  There is a suggestion that it has come from somewhere between Mars and Jupiter.
