UK Government sets up a new scheme for free A-level courses.  If adults don’t have A-levels and if they are out of work, they can go to college for free next year to take new courses and new training.  Boris says they can’t save all the jobs but people can learn new skills.  Unemployment is at 4% just now but they think it could rise to up to 13%.
Brexit still in the balance.  Last chance talks are this week and there is no agreement.  This is worse because the UK is trying to change the agreement over Northern Ireland and the EU says they may sue the UK if they carry on with passing the law to change what they already agreed in January.
Wales is banning parents and spectators from smoking when they are watching junior football matches and even if they are watching training sessions.  Each club is asked to make a policy for no-smoking in their codes of conduct.  They want to stop children from seeing smoking.  Around 10% of 15 year olds in Wales say that they smoke regulalry.
Did you have a new toilet fitted?  One of those which has dual flush?  They are supposed to save water as you can press for a small flush or press for a larger flush.  But it turns out that the quality is not good and many of them leak.  In fact, they are so bad that more water leaks out than in an old fashioned toilet.  Some keep running even. Thought they are supposed to stop after the flush.  One water company says billions of litres of water are being wasted. …. Enough water to supply seven big cities.
