In February this year, the most senior officer in the Home Office resigned his job.  He is suing the Government for unfair dismissal.  He claims that the head of the Home Office, Priti Patel was bullying people.  This was denied and Boris defended her; he kept her in her job.  She is responsible for deporting migrants and trying to stop refugee people who cross the channel in boats.  There was an investigation and a report but Boris kept it back.  It seems that the report said Patel did “meet the requirements of the ministerial code” – means she did not behave properly and fairly with staff.  Labour and the Unions are not happy.  Boris will have to decide now what to do – just a warning or change her job?
Boris is giving more money to the armed forces.  Some of that is for a new Cyber Force.  It is a bit secret but it has already been set up.  It involves having high level trained hackers, whose job is to target other groups in different countries, terrorists and criminals and then to disrupt their operations.  Boris says the force is already “operating in cyber space” … looks a bit like Star Wars … but then possibly 60 countries around the world already have these groups of hackers trying to attack other countries and their computer systems.
There are still votes being counted in some States … yes, still going on (in California and New York).. and Biden is close to 80 million votes – a huge record number.  They have confirmed that he won the State of Georgia after they recounted all the votes by hand.
