Problems for the shopping centre owners because the shops have not paid their rents … because they have not been able to open. They had no money coming in. Altogether they owe about £2.5 billion and only a small amount has been paid. There is the same problem for pubs who cannot pay their rents.
Center Parcs can open on 13th July but the main attraction – the swimming dome has to be closed. The UK is still reporting over one thousand virus cases each day.
More job losses: Royal Mail says 2 thousand management jobs will go.
Increasing testing is fine but are the tests accurate? Different views by scientists about the rush to make different tests and if they will give us the answers. Some say it depends when you test the virus person exactly, if too early not accurate. Especially true if you try to find if the person has got resistance after having the virus – after one week not good, after 3 weeks more positive results.
Liverpool win the Premier League for the first time in 30 years. The fans were asked to stay away from the stadium, but thousands came to celebrate. They have won with still seven matches to go … a record.
