Upset among charities.  The Government said in the beginning of April that there was £200 million to be given to help charities through the virus problems.  And it was supposed to be quick.  Charities say that 3 months later only a quarter of applications have been approved (but money has not been passed on).  They are angry also that an independent accountancy firm has been given £1.4 million pounds to carry out assessments, when it should be the Lottery to do that job and the money was supposed to help charities not rich companies.
People who have recovered from the virus are asked to donate their blood so that the blood can be tested to help people who have the virus just now.  They are asking for more men to come in because their blood has more of the antibodies and this can be transferred to help sick patients.    The numbers of people giving blood has dropped by about a half as blood donors are concerned about catching the virus at health centres.
It is a good time to be working on your hobby.  The shop Hobbycraft says that they are selling double the usual amount of kit for people to follow up on their hobbies at home.  They have a lot of craft demonstrations online for people to learn from.  There is a big increase in jigsaw puzzles, people making their own masks, even knitting has become more popular.
