Extinction Rebellion people – protesting about climate change – were arrested when they sat down in the middle of the road next to Parliament. Police took away 90 people. The protesters are planning a disruption for ten days to make people aware that the climate crisis is getting worse.
Health Minister Hancock, claims the test and trace systems is successful and is one of the best in the world. They are supposed to call all the people at risk when positive cases are found. Most days they reach less than 80%. An MP from Scotland says this is not good and she says the local council systems in Scotland, reaches 99% of people who are at risk.
Michel Barnier from the EU is in London to prepare for more Brexit talks next week. He says the talks have been going backwards. UK people try to blame the EU and they now admit that it is likely to be a no-deal result in December. They say it is the EU who are being difficult.
Boris now refuses to meet the people who have lost loved ones due to the virus. There is a group who represent 1,600 families who want to have an inquiry into the Government response to the virus. Britain has the highest death rate of any major country. Boris said on TV that he would meet them. Now he says no – they have to make their request through the legal department.
