The programme for furlough of staff where they are paid to stay at home, will now continue until October.  Workers can receive 80% of their wages up to £2,500 per month.  But from August, the company will have to pay more for each worker.  There are seven and half MILLION people in the UK in the scheme.  The Government is trying to stop people losing their jobs. Some worries that companies cannot afford to pay and so people will just be redundant anyway.
Because of lockdown and shops and business closed, UK has stopped making money.  The economy, the money the UK makes, has dropped. The Government has less money coming in as people do not buy, and less money in taxes.  So there is less money for the Government to spend.  They say this will be worse in April and May.
Scotland says people not to go back to work just now.  Business have to get ready with social distancing and follow new rules.  Then people can go back to work. 
Nicola Sturgeon says it is not OK for people from England to drive into the beauty spots in Scotland.  She says people should only cross the border for essential purposes and not for fun. 
Some families in the UK want to sue the Government because they say they are responsible for many deaths.  They were too slow to react to the virus and to prepare for it.
The Royal Family led by Prince Charles recorded message to say thank you to all nurses, because it is International Nurses Day (Tuesday).  The video is on Instagram.
