Because there are concerns that hospitals will become infected again.  They say that anyone who is going for operation, for any problem, will need to be isolated from family and friends for 14 days BEFORE they go to hospital.  Then they need a virus test 3 days before the operation and must be negative.
Doctors are now using Attend Anywhere to make video calls and to have video appointments.  Unfortunately, the system crashed this week and has been unreliable.  No special software – all web based.  This is going to be a normal way for doctors in future.
An American company, Movianto, had to manage the stock of PPE.  But there were huge problems in their warehouse.  Drivers say they had to wait for hours to get the van loaded with equipment.  They said it was chaos.  In the end, the army was sent in and they had to take over.  The Guardian Newspaper says there were a lot of problems with this company but the Government still gave them the contract.
Inspectors are taking over the care home on the Isle of Skye.  They say there was bad management.  Nearly all of its 34 residents and half its staff had the virus.   Seven residents have died, with staff sent home and told to self-isolate.
In Government daily briefing at 10 Downing Street, minister said there was new money (£1.7 billion) for fixing the roads and railways.  But it turns out this was money allocated last month – not new at all.
