UK economy reduced in April.  20% reduction – the worst ever.  This means that we made fewer cars, less goods.  It means we bought less clothes, did not go to pubs and restaurants, hotels.  This means there was no profit and very important, much less tax income for the Government.  So they have to borrow more and more money and will not be able to spend as much in future.  The country becomes poorer.  They say the figures for May could be even worse.
UK Government now says they will not have full checks on goods coming from the EU after Brexit.  Before they said they would have special import controls so that they could have the proper tax on goods.  Now Dover will not have strict controls.  For goods going from Britain to Europe, the EU will decide on the strict controls.
Labour Party angry because Government has not published a report about bad effect of virus on Black and Asian people.  There are recommendations in the report to provide special health support to Black and Asian people.  An expert who checked the report (said it was secret) said it is wrong if the Government does not trust people and is a waste of money to carry out the research and then not publish the results.  Lawyers for 450 families who have lost a relative are calling for immediate inquiry into virus crisis.
