One more election in US.
In Georgia, there is a new vote for two senators (because they did not get enough votes in each election in November).  There is a straight choice for voters to pick either a Democrat or a Republican in each of the “seats”.  If the Republicans win one seat they will have a majority in the US Senate and they will try to block Biden’s plans.  If the Democrats win both seats, they will be able to pass new laws and run the country the way they promised.
China refuses health researchers
China has blocked the visit of experts from the Word Health Organisation.  Their team wanted to investigate how the virus has developed and spread in Wuhan.  The Chinese said their travel visas were not sorted out in time.
Hong Kong Oppression
In Hong Kong, 50 people were suddenly arrested because they were against the security law.  The law takes away their rights for free speech and voting.  China has ignored the protests from other countries and has broken the international agreement to keep Hong Kong free.
Covid test for people coming to UK.
UK Government is thinking of making all travellers coming to the UK have negative result of a virus test – like a certificate – before they will be allowed in.  They are worried about he South African Covid and other new versions which might appear.  People who leave the UK will also need to have a test to get on the plane.
