Nepal has the border with India.  Now Covid has arrived and  cases are increasing very fast.  Tests are positive for 47% of people.  Medical care is not good.  There are not enough vaccines available.  Medicine usually is sent from India… but India needs all the medicine now.  Nepal is getting worse and worse.  The India covid version is now in Northern Ireland – 7 new cases. Dutch researchers have trained bees to spot covid.  They show the bees different samples and the bees react when they smell the covid virus.  The researchers give them a reward – sugary water.
Hard to believe – carry a gun with no permit … in Texas
At the moment if you have a gun in Texas, you need to give your fingerprints, take 4 hours of training, pass a test of shooting skill and have a written exam.  Now you don’t need any of that.  Just get the gun.  Nearly 60% of Texas people say this is wrong.  We are shocked because so many people die from shooting.  Republican party passed the law – they say it is the right of people to have a gun.
The French dictionary is expanding with covid words
Every year the dictionary is changed because of new words and technology.  This year over 170 new words have been added – the French words translate as 14-day quarantine, intensive-care, asymptomatic, home-working.  There are lots of new words (and signs in the UK) – we should make a list of all the new signs in the last year.
