Virus figures just get worse every day.  Brazil now over 60 thousand deaths; more cases in Melbourne, Australia.  Trump says nothing as the USA has the biggest rise in cases so far.  In the UK, local councils say that they are not getting enough detailed information on infections – they cannot act to reduce the problem.
There has been voting in Russia about changing the Constitution (the rules of the country).  The results say that President Putin’s proposals have been accepted by three quarters of those who voted.  This includes allowing him to stay as President until 2036.
The pollution problems in Siberia in Russia are worse than was reported.  As well as huge oil spill, a lot of very toxic, dangerous waste was pumped in the area around and the lakes are polluted.  The company that runs the business has tried to delay and change reports.  The boss is close to President Putin.
Trump now says it is OK to wear masks and says he wold wear one.  This looks like a U-turn.  There is another book coming out, this time, by his niece which is called: “Too Much and Not Enough:  how my family created the world’s most dangerous man.”  Surprise!  Trump is trying to stop the publication.
In Botswana in Africa over 350 elephants have died.  The cause is not known.  They seem to have collapsed as if there was a problem affecting the brain.  No other animals are affected.  The worry is that there may be a disease which could pass to other animals or even to humans.
