Virus number in USA increased by more than 60,000 on Tuesday.  There are over 8 million cases of virus since it started and over 220 thousand people have died.  This includes over 700 thousand children.  India is catching up in numbers with over 7 million cases and over 100 thousand people dying.  Health conditions caused by pollution are also a big problem and with the winter coming,  doctors are very worried.
Brazil is hoping to use the Chinese vaccine for the virus starting in January 2021.  They also have the vaccine developed by Oxford University.  Brazil has a very high rate of the virus and this can be a big step forward to reduce the effect of the virus.
Ireland has now gone back into lockdown because of the virus increases.  They are hoping to be able to have a good family Christmas if they can stop the virus spreading now.
Trump did not want immigrants coming from Central America so he started a policy to separate children from their parents if they tried to come into the country.  The courts stopped that in 2018 but it turns out that 545 children are still separated from their families and the officials do not know where the families are.  Trump has created orphans through this policy.
NASA (US space agency) has landed a space craft on an asteroid about 200 million miles away from Earth.  They have collected rock and dust samples to analyse. They want to know more about these rocks which are flying around in Space.  This is only a small asteroid about 500 metres wide but it is possible it will hit the Earth in a hundred years time.
