National Holocaust Day (27th January)
This Day is to remember Jewish and other groups murdered by the Germans during 2nd World War (1938 – 1945). it was on January 27th that Auschwitz and Birkenau were liberated from the Germans. This was  seventy-six years ago.  Auschwitz was one of a thousand concentration camps where prisoners were taken from their homes.  Auschwitz camp is well known and has stayed the same for 76 years.  Some survivors today continue to tell their stories. The Day is also to remember other people being still killed deliberately …all over the world (now called genocides). This seem to never change. Sadly.
US President Biden is helping Palestine
Why?  Biden want to set up aid to Palestine because Trump stopped the aid (money) four years ago. Trump gave very strong support to Israel. Trump moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem – an important holy city for both countries. Palestinians are very angry as they want Jerusalem as their city.  Biden wants to improve relationships with Israel and Palestine. The aid will be very important in helping Palestinians who have poor medical facilities, and poverty. This could help towards getting people to work together.
