Some frustration in the UK as many European countries are lifting lockdown restrictions further – some even opening cafes, museums and cinemas.  It is not yet safe to do that in UK.  The Government says the numbers of cases are dropping now in the UK.
Researchers in Germany are testing the sewage that comes from toilets, as they know that the virus exists when people go to the toilet.  If they take samples from the sewage works, they may be able to find out where there are virus hot spots.  It could be an early warning system and more detailed testing could be carried out more quickly.
In Japan, theme parks have opened.  People have to keep distance and wear masks.  Also they are not allowed to scream when on roller coasters, to avoid spreading the virus in the air.
The number of confirmed cases in Brazil passes half a million.  South Africans can buy alcohol for the first time in two months but the reopening of schools is delayed.
