New technology for bedtime.
Google Nest Hub sits by your bed and records how you sleep and if you cough or snore.  It can also tell if you move around.  There is a radar (called Soli) which you can gesture to – you can wave and switch an alarm off.  Maybe in future proper sign language.  Many people are not happy.  They want sleep time to be private.
Not so good for some nurses in Lesotho (small country next to South Africa).  Their pay is £435 per month. They work in a Government hospital but it is run by outside companies.  Other nurses get more pay if they work in other hospitals.  It is not fair.  So they went on strike.  They all got the sack.   This is not a good plan for the hospital as there are serious health problems in Lesotho.
Good news if you like to eat salmon.  You may not realise but there is a big fraud about fish, particularly expensive fish like salmon.  What you get in a restaurant may not be the correct salmon – one in three fish served are not the correct fish. Now fish detectives are using DNA to tell exactly which fish is which and where it comes from.  The fish can then have a barcode to prove it is genuine.
Sections of Trump’s border wall between USA and Mexico, just left unfinished.  There was a rush to try to finish more wall before President Biden took over.  It is all cancelled now.  That leaves bits of the wall standing with nothing connected to them on either end.  It looks very strange.  Mexico never paid for the wall.
