France has new rules for wearing masks in the cities.  In some places, you have to wear a mask at open air markets and near the river if people go for walks in the evenings.  In Japan, there are increase in case and they may have to have lockdown in Tokyo.  More younger people are getting the virus.  There are increases in China and in Vietnam.  Brazil President has the virus and now is having extra treatment.  His wife has caught it too.  The situation in Victoria in Australia is not good with more cases every day.  The World Health Organisation is complaining that young people are ignoring the rules and so there are more and more case with the young who then pass it on to their relatives.
Conditions for refugees in the camps in Greece are bad.  Now they are worse.  New rules mean that refugees do not have free health care.  Many refugees are ill because of their experiences of torture and violence.  The international aid charities who provide the health care cannot transfer people to the right services and family members cannot go with them.  They may have to wait months to get the right treatment.  Now MSF charity says it has to close it Covid clinic on the island of Lesbos because of fines and charges by the Greek government.  What might be familiar to deaf people is that they do not have interpreters…. Because refugees come from many different countries and have different languages.  The doctors have to use apps like google translate but these are not accurate enough in emergencies.  Anyway, not all refugees can read even their own languages.  A bad situation which is getting worse.
