President Biden had his first conversation with Russian President Putin.
There are different versions of what they talked about.  The USA said Biden talked about the cyber attacks by Russian hackers and about the Novichok poisoning of Navalny.  The Russians said they talked about more normal relationship between the two countries  ….to help the world.  Both sides said it was a formal business talk.
There were violent protests in India. 
Farmers were on strike since November because of new laws.  They say the laws will make them poorer.  There was a huge protest in Delhi.  They fought with police.  One farmer was killed and 80 police were injured.  The police closed down the Internet and stopped mobile phones working.
Some people are trying the “Dublin Dodge”
Travel into the UK is now more difficult.  So some people from other countries have been flying into Dublin and then going into Northern Ireland.  The Irish are making new rules because of the Brazil and South African viruses.  Travellers have to quarantine and give their address.  Now they will need to inform the Northern Ireland Government about people who are going there.  Then the travellers can be checked and watched in Northern Ireland.
And then there is snow
Good snow for skiing in Europe … but no skiers because of Covid.  Weather warning in California.  Huge amounts of rain on the coast and then 2 metres of snow in the mountains.  Could be a white out.
