In the USA, Biden has started to pick out his team.  The first team are health experts who have to start working to solve the problem of the virus.  Trump has kept away – playing golf everyday.  He then sends tweets to say he will not accept defeat.  The Republican Party is supporting him.  Most world leaders have congratulated Joe Biden, but Russia, China, Brazil and Turkey have not.  None of these countries has a fair election system.
Trump has sacked his Defense secretary who disagreed with him about Troops used against Black Lives Matter.  He just tweeted he “has been terminated”.  Now Justice department is trying to interfere in the checks about fraud.  They are not supposed to do this until there is evidence.  Looks like Trump is putting pressure on people to stir up trouble,
International links?  The virus tests which are being trialled in Liverpool are not quite what they seem.  These are special fast tests (lateral flow tests – swab from inside the nose).  Actually, the tests are Chinese but an American company bought the tests from them.  And well… they are being supplied by a tiny British company from a house near Northampton.  Not everyone agrees that the tests work – they say they miss a lot of people with no symptoms.  The UK Government is going ahead anyway … the cost?  £500 million.
Interesting.  A couple in Michigan in USA just celebrated the birth of their first daughter.  That is OK … except they already have 14 children.  All of the 14 are boys.  The oldest son is already 28 years old …. They must have a big house.
