Big row developing in USA (another one). Trump trying to change the law for social media. Twitter put a label on two of Trump’s tweets, (and two from China) to advise people to ‘fact check’ what he wrote. He got furious and attacked all social media. So now he signed an “executive order” to try to remove some of the legal protection of social media. This will make a lot of lawyers very rich as there will be a lot of challenges to this in the courts.
Nearly 2 thousand Border Force and UK Visa and Immigration staff were off sick from January to April with the virus (symptoms). This is 12% of the people who work there. During this time, there were 18 million people arrived at airports and very many from Italy and Spain in March. They think these staff were exposed to the virus from people coming into the UK.
Big virus problems in Mumbai in India as hospitals are full and “close to collapse”. Photographs of patients having to share beds and share oxygen tanks.
In Philippines, there are more and more cases but the Government says people can go about normally except they must wear masks and keep distances. Workplaces, shops are open.
