World News 17th June
After the protests in USA, Trump decided to agree to make new rules for police. It includes training and keeping a list of police who had injured black people. Top Democrat Pelosi said the order “falls sadly and seriously short of what is required to combat the epidemic of racial injustice and police brutality that is murdering hundreds of Black Americans”.
Vice President in USA tells people that the increase in virus cases across the USA is because they are doing more testing …. So that is a good thing (there have been nearly 120 thousand deaths). Health experts think this is a crazy argument as the situation is getting worse across America. The Vice President has been going round to events and restaurants without mask and surrounded by people without masks and no social distance. Health experts think that the virus is increasing not getting less, not going away and the message from the Government to the people is wrong.
There has been fighting high up in the Himalayan Mountains between India and China. There is a dispute about one valley and troops got into a fight. 20 Indian troops died – some directly from wounds and others because the injuries were made worse by cold and high altitude.
