Trump says his speech was OK
Yesterday, Trump appeared out of the White House for the first time since the riot in Washington.  He went to Texas.  He claims his speech before the riot was “totally acceptable” and that everyone is out to get him – he says it is a “witch hunt.”
Super-spreader event
Health experts say that the storming of the Capitol was a super-spreader event for Covid.  Already 3 of the Democrat congress people have got the virus.  They had to stay locked in a room with other people for hours.  Republican congress people actually refused to wear a mask when it was offered to them.
Germans warned about the British virus
Chancellor Merkel says they will have more restrictions for many weeks to avoid the British Covid.  They have 891 deaths on Monday – and 12,800 cases.  They also have the South African Virus.  Germans will soon have vaccine but they say the roll-out has been slow to start.
Ireland most new cases in the world
Many hospitals have no intensive care beds free.  They had a lockdown in November and it seemed to settle down.  Then in December they opened things up.  They allowed people to mix in their homes.  Over 50 thousand people came into the country over Christmas.  Now the cases have shot up.  They blame the English version of Covid
Spanish Siberia
The temperature hit minus 25 degrees near Madrid. The snow and cold weather continues in central Spain.  The snow has turned to ice and it is very dangerous.
