There is a Paris Peace Forum on now and they hope to raise nearly £400million to buy the vaccines for poor countries.  Big countries are giving millions of pounds and they expect to have a big donation from Bill Gates (Microsoft).
The hurricane damage in Central America  last week is much worse than they thought.  Large numbers of houses have been destroyed and people have had to go to emergency shelters.  Many people died.  Bigger problem is that peple are crowded together in shelters and so Covid is easy to spread.  Health services are not good and so there is big worry that many other diseases will start up.  This affects Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala.
More and more of the people around Trump have got the virus.  It is possible this happened at a party on election night.  It is not surprising as they refused to keep social distance and did not wear masks.  The daily numbers in the USA are increasing.  Over 240 thousand people have died.  There have been over 10 million cases.  Trump still in denial and doing nothing to help to manage the virus.
Accurate reports from Ethiopia are hard to find, but there is information about massacres.  It is not clear if this is the Government soldiers or the rebel fighters but the stories are very bad.  Hundreds of thousands of people have fled into the next country, Sudan.
Virus update .. just getting worse.  South Korea will fine people who do not wear a mask in public.  Some countries say the cases are slowing but overall it is getting worse.  The vaccines are coming.  Big claims are made for each one as it goes through tests.  It is like a race to find the perfect vaccine.  Maybe by 2021.
