“Vaccine Nationalism” – new idea.  It means countries that are developing the vaccine will keep it to themselves and not share it with other countries until they give it to their own people.  There was a Zoom meeting of the leaders of the G20 countries – the rich countries of the world.  The EU wanted to talk about how to make sure all countries had access to the vaccine.  But China has already given vaccine to one million of their own people.  Putin, from Russia, turned up late (he always does) and they have given out their own vaccine to their own people.  But the worst was Trump.  He gave a short speech saying how marvellous he was, and how he had developed the main vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna,,, which he said were going to be given to the American people first.   In actual fact, the Pfizer vaccine is developed by a German company.  And Trump immediately left the meeting, sent out a Tweet to say “he won the election” and then went off to play golf.  No respect.  Even with a world virus problem the leaders cannot work together.
Now over 12 million cases in the USA.  Over 255 thousand deaths.  California is imposing a curfew.  Big worry is that people will travel home to family on Thursday as it is Thanksgiving holiday.  This is like harvest festival but is bigger than Christmas.  The whole family eats turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.  This year it may just spread the virus.
In Ethiopia, the Government tells the people in Tigray to surrender within 72 hours.  They say that civilians in the city will not get any mercy.  They will put tanks all around and fire into the city if people do not agree to stop the fighting.  There are reports that hundred maybe thousands of people have already died.
