Myanmar – more trouble for Aung San Suu Kyi.  They made her appear in court (video link).  She was charged with having walkie talkies.  AND now they say she broke the Natural Disaster law.  Nobody knows what this is.  Everybody thinks the army just made it up.  The army says they will have new elections but they do not say when.  Leaders in other countries have objected.  The people are continuing to protest.  Last weekend hundreds of boat people had a protest on the water – so the army could not attack them. 
Here is another vaccine.  Cuba has developed a new Covid vaccine, Soberana 2.  They will test  thousands of volunteers and the government wants to give the jab to everyone on the island by the end of the year. This is possible because Cuba has more than 30 years of experience in biotechnology and working with viruses.
The Trump story is not finished.  Now a Democrat senator has filed a civil lawsuit against Trump and his lawyer for creating the riot on January 6^th.  The charge is that he worked with the far-right groups – “Proud Boys” and “Oath Keepers” to start the violence.  Those groups are already charged by the police.  The civil law they use is 160 years old.
One family have shunned a Republican senator who voted against Trump.  Shunning means they will not talk to him or let him into the family again.  They say he is a member of the “devil’s army.”  They signed a letter to say he was a big disappointment to the family and to God.   There are huge divisions among people in the USA.
