Virus figures still going up, now over 15 million.  India has a a huge problem with over 1 million cases but does not have strong health services to manage people who are ill.  Even rich countries like Australia are having difficulty because of increases in cases.  California. South Africa and Brazil have record number of cases everyday.  Trump thinks that kids don’t get the virus and wants schools to open again and says he will send his son.  One minute he says people should wear a mask and the next minute he is walking about without a mask close to people.  This a very confusing situation for Americans.
Thailand is very worried as the beaches are deserted and they believe that tourist will stay at home.  There should be about 40 million tourists going to Thailand each year to lie on the beautiful beaches and to spend money in markets.  Now people are out of work and the borders are closed.  They say they won’t die of corona virus but they might die because they have no money for food.
Olympics next year in Japan.  Olympic Games in Japan will not be like normal because of the effects of the virus.  In the UK there are problems of athletes emotionally bullied by coaches to make them win medals.  The new leader of Team GB says that they should not focus on just winning medals.  Athletes should be role models to the country and should not have pressure all the time for the number of medals.
