President Trump after refusing to wear masks and to have social distancing has now gone into hospital with the virus.  It is unclear how well he is … some reports say he is needing oxygen – others say he will leave on Monday.  Several other members of staff and his wife also have the virus.  It looks like a meeting at the White House with a large crowd and no masks is where they have been passing the virus.  When a President is ill, it is expected that he passes control to the Vice President but this has not happened so far.  There is a worry that enemies of the USA will choose this time to take advantage and carry out attacks.
Yesterday Trump decided to go out of the hospital and went on a drive-by to wave to his supporters from his special car.  Doctors were very unhappy about this.  They say that the driver and secret service agents will now have to go into quarantine.
You know Scotland wants to have a vote for independence from England.  Well, New Caledonia (which means New Scotland) is part of France – it is in the Pacific Ocean.  It was discovered by Captain Cook who thought it looked like Scotland.  The French control it.  They had a vote for independence and 53% said they wanted to stay French but the numbers who want independence is increasing all the time.  There could be another vote in. few years.
Most people do not know that there are camels who swim.  They have lived in India for hundreds of years and they can swim 3 kilometres.  The eat plants which grow in salty land by the sea.    Ten years ago, there were 10 thousand of them.  Now less than half.  The reason: companies are building factories.  Thy say the land is wasteland as nothing grows.  But the camels need this area as the eat mangrove which does grow there.  It looks like another group of animals which is dying out because they do not have enough food because of development by companies.
