World News 29th April. Russia plans to close down Navalny’s group and offices
We have no new information on the health of Navalny.  He is in a prison camp.  He went to hospital when he refused to eat.  His supporters say Russia is torturing him.  They say the Russian Government makes false charges against him.  Now the Government tries to stop all his supporters.  They say his group is extremist – they are a threat to Russia. 
Awful in India – families have to help in cremation
The Covid situation in India is terrible.  We see on television the fires they make to cremate people who have died.  Hindu religion believes the bodies are burned so that the soul can escape.  There are so many deaths that families have to help in the cremation.  It is very upsetting.  Countries are trying to help but it will take time to bring the virus under control.  Not enough beds, not enough oxygen, not enough medical staff.
Glaciers are melting and the sea is rising
Humans are making the planet warmer by the emissions into the atmosphere.  From 2000 to 2019, vast amounts of ice melted.  This is from the glaciers in high mountains and biggest loss was in Alaska.  New Zealand also lost many glaciers.  The result is that rivers and sea level is rising – it could be as much as 2 metres.  It will affect high countries like Switzerland – they will not look the same as in in the old photos. New law in Hong Kong prevents people from coming in and .. from leaving
There is no opposition in the Hong Kong parliament – they have all been banned.  Now they can decide any law they want.  The new law allows the Government to refuse entry.  More scary – they can stop people from leaving.
