American troops are leaving Afghanistan in September
There was an agreement with the Taliban.  They stopped attacking US troops.  President Biden says the troops can leave.  But Taliban continue to fight with Afghan Government.  There are bombs and shootings.  It is not a safe place.
President Biden offers to meet Putin over Ukraine problem
Russian troops are increasing near the border with Ukraine.  People are worried the Russians will attack.  NATO and USA say that they will support Ukraine.  Russia gives passports to the Ukraine people to try to make them more like Russian.  If they have the passports, then Russia says they will try to defend them.  It is a complex situation.
Sweden has highest rate of Covid in Europe
Sweden did not have lockdown.  At first that was OK.  Now the virus has spread very fast.  Poland, France and Italy also have high rates.  Sweden does not have many deaths.  They say this is because people in care homes have the vaccine.
Myanmar ambassador in London is worried about his family at home
Remember at the weekend, in London, the Myanmar embassy forced the ambassador to leave. He did not support the army.  He had nowhere to live.  UK Government helped him.  Now his family in Myanmar have to hide.  They are afraid the army will capture them and punish them.
France is banning short flights to protect the environment
French Government say you have to travel by train.  They say too many people make very short flights and this causes pollution.  If you can travel for less than two and half hours on the train, this is better than flying.  It will help the environment.
