Trump not guilty but there is a lot of worry about the Republican Party as senators seem to be blind.  Some say he did not encourage the riot and so he is still their leader.  Others want to go forward without Trump.  They also say he will have a lot of court cases against him.  President Biden wants to move on and forget about Trump.  They have to fix Covid and the finances of the country.
Disha Ravi is now in prison.  Who?  She is an Indian from Banagalore in the south.  She set up the Fridays for the Future movement in India (like Greta Thunberg in Sweden).   She was involved in protests but always inside the law.  She wrote to help the farmers protest in India.  Now the police say she made “economic, social, cultural and regional war against India”.  They arrested her.
We think about Texas as a warm place from television.  Not at the moment.  Biden has said a state of emergency there.  Why?  Freezing cold, snow all across the southern part of the USA.  American cars not set up for bad conditions – there have been lots of crashes.  Winter storm warnings are sent out for 150 million Americans and there are power cuts.
OK to complain about home schooling in the UK.  In some countries, it is different altogether.  In South Sudan, they had to send exam papers by plane because of the war and violence.  A United Nations plane to take the exam supervisors and the papers so that young people could have a chance at education.  In UK, we worry about having enough computers at home.  In Sudan, going to school is not safe and the chance to learn is not possible for many children.
