What’s happening other countries?
In France: Face masks must be worn in public in Paris and surrounding areas by anyone aged 11 and over. Also in Toulouse, Nice, Lille and Lyon and some beach resorts.
Masks also have to be worn in most workplaces… in offices and factories where people are sharing space.
In Spain: Masks have to be worn by anyone over the age of six on all public transport in Spain. In most regions in Spain you have to wear a mask outdoors as well. Children from 6 years old to wear masks at school.
In Germany: no large gatherings allowed. Testing at airports is compulsory for all travellers from high-risk countries and a minimum fine of 50 euros (£46) for people failing to wear face coverings in shops or on public transport.
In Italy: all dance halls and nightclubs, including outdoors ones, closed. Face masks must be worn from 18:00 to 06:00 local time in all public spaces across Italy if no social distancing.
In Ireland: For all social visits to homes in Ireland, both indoors and outdoors, only six visitors from no more than three households. Outdoor limited to 15 people. People aged over 70 are asked to stay at home as much as possible, and workers are should work from home if possible.
New Apple operating system (iOS 14) and new Apple watch 6 have been announced today. Apple watch OS 7 will be available for existing Apple watches. It can measure sleep and hand washing.
