Monks win fight with quarry over Belgian beer
Belgian beer is famous.  The beer from the Trappist monks in Rochefort, south Belgium is very special.  A quarry company wanted to dig deeper and move a special water spring.  The monks said no.  it affects the taste of the beer.    A court in Belgium now says – OK the quarry owns the water spring but from a law in 1833, they are not allowed to remove or divert all or part of the water.  It must go to the Abbey where the monks make the beer.
