7th May More bad news!
about the app for smartphone which UK is developing (trials on Isle of Wight) which is supposed to be used by everyone.  It does not work as planned. 
Why?  Because I-phones go to sleep if the contact app is not reaching other phones. 
So it would not realise there was another i-phone in contact.  Android phones are better and they can “wake-up” the i-phone but actually people would have to keep remembering to switch on the app.
Other countries use the Apple-Google app which does not have that problem.
And more…. Remember a couple of weeks ago, the Government told that they had special order for PPE gowns to come from Turkey.  They sent a special RAF plane but was delayed and then finally got half the order of gowns.  Well, the gowns are not up to standard and are now just sitting in a warehouse.  Can’t be given out to care staff or hospital staff.
Care homes still do not have the right equipment.  Also now, Hospice managers say that staff do not have the right equipment.  They cannot order it because of shortage and then some have to pay four times the correct price. 
(People go to hospice when they are very seriously ill and may be dying but big risk to the staff and even younger nurses are dying.)
