The Virus

15th May 2020
One in four people in UK who died in hospital from the virus, had diabetes.  Nearly one in five people had dementia.  They have to research more to find out why but nearly 90% of the people who died were over 65 years old.
The World Health Organisation warning says that the virus will be bad in Africa.  They say there may be over 200 million cases and over 150,000 dying because not good health care.  Most people will recover as the average age is less than countries in Europe.  But many millions will have to go to hospital and that will mean less treatment for HIV, malaria and malnutrition form lack of food.
The official figures are now over 4 million people have the virus, 1.6 million have recovered and over 300 thousand have died.
